When the Inner Senshi and Luna went to the Moon in Act 10, they went into the ruins of the palace, and there found the Holy Blade near the Crystal Tower, inside the Chamber of Prayer. Queen Serenity gave her life to seal away Metalia and the Dark Kingdom, and what remained of the Silver Millennium was destroyed by the awakened Sailor Saturn, thus everyone was reborn in the present day. Eventually, the evil prophecy was fulfilled, when Queen Metalia arose, taking control of Earth and using its people to incite a war against the Moon Kingdom, leading to the death of Princess Serenity. Queen Serenity sealed Nehellenia into a mirror but not before Nehellenia sent a curse that lead to the downfall of the Silver Millennium.

At some point, Queen Serenity had encountered Queen Nehellenia during the celebration of Princess Serenity's birth. She also gave Pluto the job of being the guardian of time and to follow three rules she can't break, she couldn't travel in time, she couldn't leave the Space-Time Door and most important of all to not stop time, otherwise, it would cost Pluto her life. Queen Serenity gave the respective castles to Sailor Uranus, Sailor Neptune, and Sailor Pluto when they were born to help protect the solar system from outside threats. Long ago, Queen Serenity ruled over the people of the Moon, who had long lives, given to aid their mission to protect the Silver Crystal, while at the same time watching over Earth and guiding it on a good path. She has a golden-colored crescent moon on her forehead, which is the mark of the Silver Millennium itself and the royal family's symbol. She wears a white dress with a bow on the top, adorned with a gold crescent brooch. She has long silvery-white hair done up in odangos. Queen Serenity is slender with fair skin and bright silver eyes. In Sailor Moon, the original Greek myth is divided between Queen Serenity (the goddess) and Princess Serenity (who fell in love with Prince Endymion). Serenity's name is likely derived from the Greek Moon goddess Selene, who fell in love with the mortal man Endymion. Sailor Venus also used the sword in her Venus Wink Chain Sword attack in the 3rd season.Nomenclature and Etymology Etymology Unable to bear it any longer, Sailor Moon used the sacred sword to stab Tuxedo Mask in the chest and then her own. The sword was then taken by the evil Tuxedo Mask but later recovered by Sailor Moon. In the 12th episode, Sailor Moon used the sword to break the necklace around Queen Beryl's neck, thus severing Queen Metalia's hold over her. On Earth in Ami's apartment, Minako used it to shatter the hardest jewel in the world-diamond. The spirit of Queen Serenity appears, who says that is the holy sword that protects the Princess and it could only be used by the four Inner Sailor Senshi. Just like the manga, the mystical sword is discovered on the Moon and pulled out by Sailor Venus. This was also the last time that the sword is seen in the manga. Unfortunately, this plan failed and left them powerless. In Act 13, in an attempt to seal away Queen Metalia and to try to find Sailor Moon and Tuxedo Mask afterward, the rest of the Sailor Guardians threw away their transformation pens and Sailor Venus called upon the sword once again to give her and the rest of the Sailor Senshi more power. However, this didn't kill them and only freed Queen Metalia from Tuxedo Mask's body. However, out of confusion, Sailor Moon killed Tuxedo Mask (whose body was taken over by Queen Metalia) and then killed herself. This happened to be the method to seal away Queen Metalia. After this, strange writing appeared on the sword which only Sailor Venus could read. In Act 12, Sailor Venus kills Queen Beryl with the sword once again.
